Georgianna studied art through various private drawing and painting classes before attending the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts as both a night and a day school student, in painting and printmaking.
After the Academy, she worked for over twenty years in a variety of Philadelphia museums: University Museum at Penn, the CIGNA Museum and Art Collection, the Philadelphia Museum of Art, PAFA and with the Civic Center Museum Collection. Her career including doing art handling, collections management, registration, exhibition and curatorial duties, and archaeological illustration, working in pen and ink.
Georgianna has developed a whimsical, detailed style with fluid and fantastical imagery, using ink and colored pencils. She has also studied ceramics, creating decorative tiles that echo her drawings in content and style. Recently, she has returned to working in mixed media. These works are, in a more abstract, though still colorful.
Her work has been shown in many local venues, art centers, exhibitions and juried shows. Represented in this exhibit are her mixed media and colored pencil works.
